Refund Policy & Acceptable Use Policy


Part A — Refund Policy

1. Subscription Refunds

RepuTap subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. We do not issue prorated refunds for cancellations made mid-billing period.

What this means in practice:

  • If you cancel on any day of the month, you retain full access through the end of that billing period
  • You will not be charged for the following month
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days

Free Trial: If you are on a free trial and cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged at all.

2. Hardware Refunds

All NFC hardware sales (cards and stands) are final and non-refundable once shipped.

Exception — Defective Devices: If a device arrives non-functional through no fault of your own (not physical damage, not misuse), contact hello@reputap.net within 14 days of receipt with:

  • Your order details
  • A description of the defect
  • A short video or photo demonstrating the issue

We will ship a replacement at no cost. We do not issue cash refunds for defective hardware — replacement only.

3. Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged in error or charged twice, email hello@reputap.net within 14 days of the charge with the subject line "Billing Error." We will review and, if confirmed, issue a refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

4. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting RepuTap to resolve a billing dispute is a violation of this policy and may result in immediate account suspension. We take every billing concern seriously — please reach out to us directly first.

Part B — Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules for using the RepuTap platform. These rules protect our Clients, their customers (End Users), third-party platforms like Google, and RepuTap itself. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

2. You MAY Use RepuTap To:

  • Collect genuine, unsolicited customer feedback at your place of business
  • Direct satisfied customers to leave a public Google review
  • Manage, track, and respond to customer concerns privately
  • Monitor feedback trends over time
  • Export your feedback data

3. You MAY NOT Use RepuTap To:

3.1 Fake or Manipulated Reviews

  • Submit, solicit, or incentivize fake feedback or reviews
  • Pre-populate forms with fake positive responses
  • Use the platform to generate fabricated data to mislead customers or competitors

3.2 Review Gating (Prohibited)

Review gating means selectively asking only happy customers to leave a public review while suppressing or hiding negative feedback. This violates Google's review policies and is prohibited on RepuTap.

RepuTap's design routes high-rated customers toward Google and keeps low-rated feedback private so it can be addressed — this is not review gating because:

  • All feedback is captured and stored
  • The private feedback channel is offered to all customers equally
  • No customer is discouraged from posting a review publicly

However, Clients must not modify, tamper with, or abuse this flow in a way that selectively suppresses legitimate public reviews or violates Google's terms. If you are unsure, ask us at hello@reputap.net before making changes.

3.3 Privacy Violations

  • Collect End User contact information for any purpose other than following up on their specific feedback
  • Add End Users to marketing lists without their explicit consent
  • Share, sell, or distribute End User contact information to any third party
  • Use the platform to surveil, harass, or profile individuals

3.4 Platform Abuse

  • Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to flood the feedback system with fake submissions
  • Attempt to access other Clients' dashboards or data
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the RepuTap platform without written permission
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or recreate the RepuTap platform or its codebase
  • Use the platform to host malware, phishing links, or harmful content

3.5 Illegal Activity

  • Violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law
  • Use the platform to harass, threaten, or defame any person
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of any third party

3.6 Resale and White-Labeling

  • Resell, sublicense, white-label, or repackage the RepuTap platform as your own product without a written reseller agreement with RepuTap

4. Reporting Violations

If you believe another party is misusing the RepuTap platform, or if you are an End User who believes your data has been mishandled by a Client, please contact us at hello@reputap.net with a description of the issue.

5. Enforcement

RepuTap reserves the right to:

  • Issue a written warning for first-time or minor violations
  • Immediately suspend accounts involved in serious violations (review fraud, privacy violations, illegal activity)
  • Permanently terminate accounts and report activity to relevant authorities where required by law
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations involving platform misuse

Termination for AUP violations does not entitle the Client to a refund.

6. Changes to This Policy

RepuTap may update this AUP from time to time. Active Clients will be notified of material changes by email with at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect.
